AT THE RAINBOW’S END
AT THE
RAINBOW’S END…
I’m
a person who’s totally in love with colors. I believe that they are purely
psychological, a link that connects what we see to the brain. There have been
hundreds of theories revolving around this color spectrum, certain so well established
with solid ground rules, certain still being experimented.
Colors
become all the more interesting, when observed for the effects that they have
on each other, when in contact. Just like each one of us is affected by the
people around us, the same concept applies for colors too. What you place next
to a hue can totally change our perception towards it.
The
all-over colors are so in this season, going wild with imaginations and
breaking regular stereo types. So I decided to perk it up by placing a neutral
alongside burst of colors, the neutral being classic black which goes with
almost any other shade for that matter. I decided to keep this look more
understated, suitable for a casual day out with friends, or a brunch. The strap
shouldered raw silk tunic perfectly enhanced the colorful Indian Dhoti style
pants, creating an Indo-Western look overall. I teamed it up with a pair of
shades to keep the sun out, a pair of orange ear-rings as pop ups, a rich shade
of fuchsia for the lips, and a tie & Dye bandana for a non-messy hairstyle,
and a pair of sandals to complete the look.
Colors
give so many options to experiment, to explore! They have the ultimate power from
brightening up a boring ensemble to creating dizzy illusions. Thus a single hue
conveys different meanings, just by its relativity, depending on what’s nearby.
There’s no full stop to this, as they say, no one knows the rainbow’s end…
